How To Make Your Own Hairspray

How To Make Your Own Hairspray : Whether you are going on a do-it-yourself rampage, or simply want to use more environmentally friendly hair styling products, it is easy to concoct your own hairspray from simple, natural ingredients.
Try out this recipe and then see if you ever buy commercial hairsprays again!
First purchase a re-fillable pump bottle with a fine spray. Most drugstores carry them quite inexpensively. Or, save the last bottle you use of commercially prepared hairspray.
You will need these ingredients:
a lemon
two cups of water, and a
teaspoon of isopropyl rubbing alcohol.
Directions:
Cut the lemon into wedges and boil it in the two cups of water until the water is reduced by half, leaving you with one cup of liquid.
Cool the liquid and then add the rubbing alcohol.
Strain the liquid through cheesecloth ro remove any debris from the lemon, and pour the strained liquid into your hairspray bottle.
With the alcohol in the hairspray it should last quite a long time without spoiling. If your hair is particularly dry or you have a desire to use hairspray containing no alcohol whatsoever, just keep your bottle of hairspray in the refrigerator to prevent spoiling.
Add a scent!
You can also consider adding your favorite scent to the bottle, such as a few drops of lavender oil, orange oil, or even rose or jasmine oil.
Homemade Hairspray Makes A Great Eco Friendly Gift!
No one will know where you found such a wonderfully scented hairspray! This makes your homemade ecologically friendly hairspray ideal as a gift, to place into a gift basket with other bath and beauty products, or to give away as a party favor.  Homemade hairspray, does it it get any better than this?
